does anyone know if you can have your parental rights voluntarily terminated and waiver of all back arrearages while an adoption is pending? If the custodial and non-custodial parents agree to have this done? Is it legal or do you have to wait until the adoption is through? I know people usually wait until the adoption is through, but what if both parties want this to happen, can a judge sign off on the documents stating, waiving all back arrears and terminating parental rights pending an adoption.. maybe have the court order that the documents will be in effect the date the adoption goes through? or have them be in effect immediately and if the adoption doesn't go through, we could file a motion to reinstate rights and support payments? any help would be appreciated.. thanks.
