Could anyone give me some advice on extra visitation? My story goes like this: My ex and I divorced and I moved 3 counties away.(1 1/2 hours away) I Remarried and have a nice family, house...etc... He ended up getting our daughter for school purposes with me having her every other weekend, spring break and the entire summer. My ex works on the weekends and our daughter ends up with a babysitter or her grandparents for the weekend. I would like to have her on the weekends that my ex works. I miss her and she asks why she can't come to my house. I have asked repeatedly for her on those weekends and my ex refuses saying that he still has the hours after work with her. Ok, true, but the entire day she is with someone other than her mother. My question is, if I ask the courts for more time with my daughter during the school year, would I be granted it? I'm talking weekends that her dad works. I don't work. I have always been a stay at home mom. I don't want to be ugly or threatening by taking him to court but I don't understand what the big deal is about me getting her on the weekends he works. She and I are close and it's hard enough for us to be apart during the week. She is going to be 6 this year. I miss her a lot. Opinions and advice is appreciated. Thank you. :)
